A. Personal Information Collected

SUM Korea collects the following personal information for membership registration, consultations, and service requests:

◈ Name, Resident Registration Number, ID, password, identity verification Q&A, email address, physical address, phone number, mobile number, and occupation. Additionally, during service use or business processing, the following information may be automatically generated and collected.
Browser type and OS, search keywords, IP address, date and time of visit, misuse records, service usage logs, access logs, cookies, connected IP information, payment records, and suspension records.


B. Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information
SUM Korea uses the collected personal information for the following purposes:

◈ Execution of Service-Related Contracts and Billing
Providing content, delivering goods or invoices, identity verification for financial transactions, financial services, purchases and payment processing, and fee collection.

◈ Member Management
Identity verification and personal identification under member services and restricted verification systems, prevention of unauthorized or fraudulent use, confirming intent to register, limiting registration frequency, verifying parental consent when collecting information of children under 14, maintaining records for dispute resolution, handling complaints, and delivering notices.

◈ Marketing and Advertising
Development and provision of new services/products, providing services and advertisements based on statistical characteristics, verifying service effectiveness, tracking access frequency, compiling statistics on member service usage, and delivering promotional information for events.


C. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information
In principle, personal information is destroyed without delay once its collection and use purposes are fulfilled. However, certain information is retained for the periods specified below:

In accordance with the Commercial Act, the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, and other relevant laws, SUM Korea retains certain information for a legally required period. The information is used solely for the retention purpose.

- Retention period: 3 years

◈ Records on identity verification
- Retention reason: Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection
- Retention period: 6 months
